Abstract

Patente de Invenção: <B>"COMPOSIçãO PARA ENCOLAMENTO"<D>. A invenção a uma composição para encolamento para uso em fabricação de papel. A composição compreende uma resina termoplástica que amolece e escoa por aplicação de calor. Colofónios termoplásticos adequados incluem resinas termoplásticas, resinas de hidrocarbonetos, poliamidas e ceras de amida de preferência tendo um ponto de gota na faixa de 50 a 150°C. Foi verificado que as resinas termoplásticas da presente invenção podem agir como agentes de encolamento substancialmente na ausência de agentes fixadores à base de alumínio. A composição para encolamento pode incluir outros componentes tais como um polímero coloidal, um tensoativo e outros agentes tipicamente usados na fabricação de papel. A presente invenção também refere-se ao uso de resinas termoplásticas para encolar papel, processos de fabricação de papel e produtos de papel encolados com uma resina termoplástica.
