Abstract
<B>PROCESSO DE CARBONILAçãO CATALISADO POR IRìDIO PARA A PRODUçãO DE áCIDO ACéTICO<D>. Um processo para a produção de um fluxo de processo de ácido acético compreendendo menos de 400 ppm de ácido propiónico e menos de 1500 ppm de água compreende as etapas de:- a) alimentar metanol e/ou um seu derivado reativo e monóxido de carbono a um reator de carbonilação em que é mantido durante o curso do processo uma composição de reação líquida que compreende: i) um catalisador de carbonilação de irídio; ii) co-catalisador de iodeto de metila; iii) opcionalmente um ou mais promotores selecionados do grupo que consiste em rutênio, ósmio, rênio, cádmio, mercúrio, zinco, gálio, índio e tungstênio; iv) uma quantidade finita de água a uma concentração menor do que aproximadamente 8% em peso; v) acetato de metila; vi) ácido acéticol; e vii) subproduto de ácido propiónico e seus precursores; b) retirar composição de reação líquida do reator de carbonilação e introduzir pelo menos parte da composição de reação líquida retirada, com ou sem a adição de calor, a uma zona de fulguração para formar uma fração de vapor compreendendo água, produto de ácido acético, subproduto de ácido propriónico, acetato de metila, iodeto de metila e precursores de ácido propiónico, e uma fração líquida compreendendo catalisador de irídio não volátil, promotor ou promotores opcional(is) não voláteis, ácido acético e água; c) reciclar a fração líquida da zona de fulguração para o reator de carbonilação; d) introduzir a fração de vapor da zona de fulguração em uma primeira zona de destilação; e) remover da primeira zona de destilação em um ponto acima do ponto de introdução da fração de vapor de zona de fulguração, um fluxo de reciclagem de produtos leves compreendendo água, acetato de metila, iodeto de metila, ácido acético e precursores de ácido propriónico cujo fluxo é reciclado total ou em parte para o reator de carbonilação; e f) remover da primeira zona de destilação em um ponto abaixo do ponto de introdução da fração de vapor de zona de fulguração, um fluxo de processo compreendendo produto de ácido acético, subproduto de ácido propiónico, e menos de 1500 ppm de água e, (g) se o fluxo de processo removido na etapa (f) compreender menos de 400 ppm de ácido propiónico introduzir o referido fluxo em uma segunda coluna de destilação, removendo de um ponto abaixo do ponto de introdução do fluxo de (f) subproduto de ácido propiónico e de um ponto acima do produto de introdução do fluxo de (f) um fluxo de processo de ácido acético contendo menos de 400 ppm de ácido propiónico e menos de 1500 ppm de água.
