Abstract

Patente de Invenção: <B>"PROCESSO PARA TRATAR UMA LAMA ATIVADA EXCEDENTE"<D>. A presente invenção refere-se a um processo para tratar depósitos formados durante a purificação biológica de água residual municipal e industrial e pode ser utilizada em vários campos da indústria, em particular na produção de papel e de polpa. Uma lama ativada excedente pré-espessada é submetida a tratamento com lodo branco obtido no estágio de causticação de licor verde na produção de polpa de sulfato, sob agitação. O lodo branco é usado em uma razão volumétrica para a lama ativada excedente igual a 1 : 5 - 10. Depois disso, a lama assim tratada é submetida à desidratação por filtragem, preferivelmente a uma temperatura entre 75 e 104°C. Os depósitos desidratados são secos e queimados. Um resíduo de cinza assim obtido, bem como um hidrolisado alcalino clareado são utilizados no processo de fabricação da produção de polpa de sulfato. O presente processo para tratamento da lama ativada excedente permite a intensificação do processo de filtração, evitando o uso de agentes químicos caros, uma utilização completa dos produtos obtidos quando do tratamento da lama, bem como a utilização do resíduo de produção de polpa de sulfato, isto é, lodo branco, com simplificação dos procedimentos e técnicas de produção e significativa redução de custos materiais.
