Abstract
"MéTODO PARA ESTENDER UMA PLATAFORMA DE CALADO EXTENSìVEL PARA PRODUçãO DE óLEO E GáS FORA-DA-COSTA". Extensão de uma plataforma de produção de óleo e gás fora-da-costa compreende colocar um convés de equipamento flutuante sobre um pontão de modo que as pernas alongadas sobre o pontão, cada uma compreendendo uma bóia, se estenda movelmente através das respectivas aberturas no convés. Correntes se estendendo dos guinchos sobre o convés são passadas através de ponteiras sobre o pontão e conectadas de volta ao convés. As correntes são estiadas ara prender o convés à pontão para movimentação conjunta para um local fora-da-costa. As correntes são afrouxadas e o pontão e as bóias de pernas lastreados de modo que o pontão e as bóias de pernas afundem abaixo do convés flutuante. As correntes são, então, reapertadas até que ling³etas sobre as bóias de pernas encaixem o convés. A flutuação de pelo menos um do pontão e bóias de pernas é aumentada de modo que o convés seja, desse modo, elevado acima da superfície da água. As correntes são conectadas às linhas de amarração ao redor de um local de poço fora-da-costa, e o convés elevado e o pontão submersa são mantidos em uma posição selecionada sobre o local com os guinchos.
