Abstract

"PEPTìDEOS ANTIMICROBIANOS DE NOVISPIRIN". Peptídeos de novispirin são agentes antimicrobianos com potente atividade contra bactérias gram-negativas. Os peptídeos são não hemolíticos, exibem reduzida citotoxicidade in vitro em relação a outros peptídeo antimicrobianos, e forma bem tolerado in vivo depois de injeção intravenosa. Novispirin também liga lipopolissacarídeo (LPS), uma propriedade que pode aliviar sintomas associados com infecção bacteriana por gram-negativos. Uma composição farmacêutica que compreende novispirin como um agente ativo é administrada a um paciente que sofre ou está predisposto a uma infecção microbiana, particularmente infecções bacterianas por gram-negativos.
