Abstract

"MéTODO PARA DETERMINAR SE A LOCALIZAçãO DE UM DISPOSITIVO DE COMUNICAçãO SEM FIO ESTá DENTRO DE UMA áREA ESPECIFICADA". Um método para determinar (36) se uma localização associada a uma estação sem fio, tal como um telefone celular (28) está localizada dentro de uma área de interesse. A área de interesse é definida usando-se uma representação "quadtree" de uma área que inclui a área de interesse e identificação de nodos dentro da quadtree que representa a área de interesse. Por comparação interativa da localização (60A a 60N) associada à estação sem fio (28) às localizações associadas com um nodo em cada nível da quadtree, pode ser efetuada uma determinação sobre se a localização associada à estação sem fio está ou não dentro da área de interesse.
