Abstract
This lamp is used for optical excitement of solid-state lasers. It has stable and repetitive radiation parameters, improved conditions for cooling the current terminals and the electrodes, as well as a simple construction that successfully operates at average power and enhanced frequency. The lamp consists of a quartz bulb (1) (within which are a cathode and an anode, located at a certain distance from its intermediate part), a molybdenum folio (3) and an external terminal (4), each forming one cylindrical current terminal. The bulb is hermetically welded to the molybdenum folio and filled with inert gas. The bulb is narrowed down along the length of the electrode to the molybdenum folio.
