Abstract

Le procédé de durcissement superficiel selon la présente invention permet de durcir une bande (F) de l'accouplement femelle (6) d'une tige de forage en acier, ladite bande se trouvant entre la zone filetée (7) de l'accouplement et la zone conique (5) qui relie l'accouplement au corps cylindrique (5) de la tige.Ce procédé consiste à nettoyer la bande (F) par brossage et/ou sablage au jet, à préchauffer par induction la bande (F)et à porter finalement une couche pelliculaire superficielle de ladite bande à une température d'austénisation au moyen d'un faisceau laser.
