Abstract
Procédé et appareil pour le refroidissement d'un fil ou feuillard métallique sortant verticalement d'un bain de trempage chaud et passant entre une paire de tampons d'essuyage réfractaires, le fil ou feuillard passant entre les patins d'essuyage étant amené directement dans une chambre contenant un liquide de refroidissement qui est agencée au-dessus des patins d'essuyage et qui est supportée au moins en partie par ceux-ci, cette chambre comportant notamment une paroi amovible pour permettre l'écoulement plus rapidement du liquide de la chambre.
