Abstract
Procédé de fabrication de perles de verre dans lequel au moins 20 % en poids des perles produites ont une densité supérieure à 1,0. Des particules d'une composition formatrice de verre (p.ex. un gel ou un précipité à base de silice) contenant de l'eau liée chimiquement traversent une zone de chauffage dans laquelle elles se vitrifient et sphérulisent. L'invention permet de former des perles pleines et des perles creuses simultanément.
