Abstract
In a safety helmet, in particular a military safety helmet, with a sturdy outer shell (1) and a support basket (2) consisting of several connected straps (5, 6, 7), which has plastically deformable knobs (8) facing towards the helmet shell (1) moulded integrally to its straps (5, 6, 7). This basket is connected to the outer shell (1) at several points by fasteners (9, 9', 9'', 9''') in such a way that the support basket (2) is prestressed against the inside of the helmet shell (1) by the knobs (8). The support basket (2) can be fastened securely to the helmet shell (1) so that it can be detached, while maintaining the required pretension, by making the connection between the fasteners (9, 9', 9'', 9''') and the outer shell (1) by means of a bolt (10) and a fork arrangement (15) spanning the bolt (10). This arrangement's open end (17) is aligned so that introducing the bolt (10) from an increased pretension of the support basket (2) vis-à-vis the outer shell (1) is accompanied by a reduction of the pretension, and the bolt (10) ensures the pretension desired for use by abutting against the closed end of the fork arrangement (15).
