  Verfahren zur'Herstellung von festem kohlensaurem Ammoniak. 



   Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf die Darstellung von kohlensaurem Ammoniak durch Aufeinanderwirken von Ammoniak, Kohlensäure und Wasserdampf in der Wärme und Abkühlung der gebildeten Dämpfe. 



   Das Stammpatent Nr. 72644 umfasst ein Verfahren, bei welchem die Abkühlung der gebildeten Dämpfe in Sublimationskammern vorgenommen wird, welche nur oben gekühlt werden, während sie unten warm gehalten werden. 



   Weitere Versuche haben ergeben, dass es nicht erforderlich ist, die Mischung von Ammoniak   und Kohlensäuregas   mit Wasser in einem besonderen, der Sublimationskammer vorgeschalteten Gefäss vorzunehmen, sondern dass man die Vereinigung der Komponenten unter Einhaltung der in dem Stammpatent gegebenen Vorschriften direkt in der Sublimationskammer vornehmen kann. Zu diesem Zwecke verfährt man beispielsweise wie folgt :
Man bringt in den unteren Teil der Sublimationskammer eine genügende Menge Wasser oder auch Salmiakgeist. In die Flüssigkeit leitet man durch genügend tief in dieselbe eintauchende Rohre die gasförmigen Komponenten, Kohlensäure und Ammoniak, in raschem Strom ein.

   Hiebei erhitzt sich die Flüssigkeit so stark, dass an der Oberfläche derselben eine dauernde und flotte Absublimation von kohlensaurem Ammoniak stattfindet, welches sich in dem oberen gekühlten Teil des   Sublimationsgefässes   in dicken Krusten absetzt. Die Ergänzung des verbrauchten Wassers kann periodisch oder kontinuierlich, gegebenenfalls auch in Form von Wasserdampf, erfolgen. Das Verfahren zeichnet sich durch besondere Einfachheit in der Ausführung aus. Es liefert ebenso wie das Verfahren des   Stammpatent6s   ein sein-gutes und gleichmässiges Produkt bei Ausbeuten, welche die nach den bekannten Verfahren erzielten erheblich übertreffen. 



   Es ist   bereits bekannt, kohlensaures Ammoniak   dadurch herzustellen, dass man Kohlensäure oder Ammoniak oder beide, durch Wasser von 60 bis   90  leitet   und das (ras-Dampfgemisch durch Vermittlung eines Mischrohres in   gleichmässig gekühlte Sublimations-     kammern @borführt. Von diesem bekannten Verfahren unterscheidet sich das vorliegende dadurch,   dass die Herstellung des heissen Gas-Dampfgemisches und das Durchleiten durch ein in der Subhmationskammer vorgeschaltetes Mischrohr in Wegfall kommt, so dass der ganze Prozess sich in der   Sublima@ionskammer   selbst abspielt.

   The invention relates to the preparation of carbonate of ammonia by the interaction of ammonia, carbonic acid and water vapor in the warmth and cooling of the vapors formed.



   The parent patent no. 72644 comprises a process in which the cooling of the vapors formed is carried out in sublimation chambers, which are only cooled above, while they are kept warm below.



   Further tests have shown that it is not necessary to mix ammonia and carbonic acid gas with water in a special vessel upstream of the sublimation chamber, but that the components can be combined directly in the sublimation chamber, while observing the regulations given in the parent patent . For this purpose one proceeds, for example, as follows:
A sufficient amount of water or ammonia is placed in the lower part of the sublimation chamber. The gaseous components, carbonic acid and ammonia, are introduced into the liquid in a rapid flow through pipes which are immersed sufficiently deep.

   In doing so, the liquid heats up so strongly that a permanent and brisk sublimation of carbonate of ammonia takes place on its surface, which is deposited in the upper cooled part of the sublimation vessel in thick crusts. The water used can be replenished periodically or continuously, optionally also in the form of water vapor. The process is characterized by its particular simplicity in execution. Just like the process of the parent patent6, it delivers a product that is good and consistent, with yields that considerably exceed those obtained with the known processes.



   It is already known to produce carbonate of ammonia by passing carbonic acid or ammonia or both through water from 60 to 90 and introducing the ras-vapor mixture through a mixing tube into uniformly cooled sublimation chambers @ bor the present one in that the production of the hot gas-vapor mixture and the passage through a mixing tube connected upstream in the sublimation chamber are no longer necessary, so that the whole process takes place in the sublimation chamber itself.

PATENT-ANSPRUCH : Verfahren zur Herstellung von festem, kohlensaurem Ammoniak nach Patent Nr. 72644, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Gase (Kohlensäure und Ammoniak) in den unteren, mit Wasser beschickten Tell der Sublimationskammer eingeleitet werden, mit der Massgabe, dass derselbe so warm gehalten wird, dass Absublimation von kohlensaurem Ammoniak stattfindet, welches sich in dem oberen gekühlten Teil des Sublimationsgefässes absetzt. **WARNUNG** Ende CLMS Feld Kannt Anfang DESC uberlappen**.
