Verfahren zur Darstellung von aliphatischen Alkylsulfaten.
Im Stammpatente ist ein Verfahren zur Darstellung von Diäthylsulfat beschrieben, darin bestehend, dass Äthyläther in der Kälte mit Schwefelsäurechlorhydrin vermengt und das Gemenge bis zum Austreiben der Salzsäure erwärmt wird.
Es zeigte sich nun, dass man auf demselben Wege nicht nur Diäthylsulfat, sondern alle einfachen oder gemischten, als auch substituierten aliphatischen Sulfate erzeugen kann, vorausgesetzt, dass der entsprechende Äther zugänglich bzw. praktisch beständig ist.
Die nach dem vorliegenden Verfahren entstehenden teilweise neuen Produkte finden als Alkylierungsmittel Verwendung :

The parent patent describes a process for the preparation of diethyl sulfate, which consists in mixing ethyl ether with sulfuric acid chlorohydrin in the cold and heating the mixture until the hydrochloric acid is expelled.
It has now been shown that one can produce not only diethyl sulphate, but all simple or mixed, as well as substituted aliphatic sulphates in the same way, provided that the corresponding ether is accessible or practically stable.
The partially new products created by the present process are used as alkylating agents:
