    Verfahren zur Herstellung plastischer Massen.   



   Es wurde die Beobachtung gemacht,    date   die nach dem Verfahren des Stammpatentes Nr. 47237 herzustellenden bzw. hergestellten harzähnlichen Körper einen höheren Schmelzpunkt und Härtegrad erhalten, wenn man aie bei neutraler, alkalischer oder saurer Reaktion mit Formaldehyd in Lösung oder Gasform behandelt oder wenn man schon die Reaktion selbst, durch welche die harzähnlichen Körper entstehen, bei Gegenwart von Formaldehyd vor sich gehen lässt. 



   Zur Ausübung des Verfahrens werden die   herzähnlichen   Körper vorteilhaft in der Wärme, also im geschmolzenen Zustande mit Formaldehyd in Gasform oder dessen Lösungen in Wasser oder Methylalkohol oder Äthylalkohol und dgl., vorteilhaft unter Kneten, behandelt. 



   Die Behandlung kann bei neutraler, alkalischer oder saurer Reaktion erfolgen.
