Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

Process for the production of durable preparations made from indigoleuco dyes and molasses, syrup, glycerine and other non-drying ones that are suitable for permanent vat management
Substances.

The German patent specification No. 192872 describes a process for the production of durable indig white preparations from indig white, molasses or bodies of similar origin and composition. However, these preparations are unsuitable for long-term guidance, especially the cold fermentation vat, if one tries to use them alone. Attempts to remedy this deficiency by adding bacteria have not led to the desired goal.

It has now been shown that durable preparations made from indigoleuco dyes that are suitable for long-term vat management are obtained if indigoleuco dyes are mixed with molasses, syrup, glycerine or other substances that do not dry out and inorganic reducing agents. Such reducing agents are mainly zinc dust, also tin chloride, tin oxide, etc. With these preparations it is possible to achieve a capo permanently without any special addition of a lüpungs- or. Lead fermentant; In addition, they increase the efficiency of the vat, and the preparations also have the advantage that they keep the cold fermentation vats in good condition, which often fail completely in the cold season despite the use of fermentation agents.

The product described by Persoz (see Impression des tissus, 1886, vol. III, p. 76) and recommended for printing purposes, which is made by adding an iron vitriol-lime
Indigo vat with tin chloride is not a durable indigo white preparation that is suitable as a commodity and that can be used for long-term use of the vat, as there is little in it
Contains indig white and quickly dries up under oxidation.

     Example:
 EMI1.1
made into a paste with 283 kg of glycerine and intimately mixed in the kneading machine with 50 kg of zinc dust.

The result is a viscous paste that does not lose its property even after prolonged storage in the warm (Sehiff- odor tropical temperature), without the use of any soft, fermentation-supporting agents suitable for continuous and rapid vat management.
