Corrugated iron containers for transformers and electrical apparatus.
It is known to improve the dissipation of heat in electrical apparatus by blowing with air and thereby to let the air escape from nozzles in such a way that the static air surrounding the apparatus is also set in motion and thus used more extensively for heat dissipation.
In the case of corrugated iron containers, which are particularly common in transformer construction, the cooling effect achieved in this way can be significantly improved if one ensures that the cooling air enters deep between the sheet metal shafts and is energetically carried up in them. According to the invention, this is achieved by arranging the outlet openings for the cooling air so that the air exits in at least two directions, one of which is essentially horizontal, so that the air is blown deep into the waves
EMI1.1
suction is exerted.
The invention is described with reference to the drawing. Fig. 1 shows a horizontal section, Fig. 2 shows a vertical section through a corrugated iron box provided with the new device. a is the container with the sheet metal shafts b. At a certain height, the container is surrounded by a tubular box e, to which cooling air is supplied by a fan at d. The box is provided with two rows of openings e and f. The cooling air is blown horizontally into the waves through the openings e, while the air jets emerging from the openings / diagonally upwards have a suction effect on the air in the waves and allow it to rise.
Tests have shown that the new arrangement is extremely effective because the otherwise observed sticking of the air in deep waves is successfully combated.
