Abstract

La proteína oleato desaturasa de girasol modificada comprende al menos una de las siguientes sustituciones de aminoácidos: a) Gly por Asp en la posición 103, b) Ser por Leu en la posición 131; c) Ser por Asn en la posición 135; d) Gly por Glu en la posición 144; e) Gly por Glu en la posición 226; f) Pro por Ser en la posición 253; g) Leu por Phe en la posición 267; h) Pro por Ser en la posición 275; o es una oleato desaturasa truncada.The invention relates to isolated nucleotide sequences comprising a point mutation and wherein the sequences encode a modified sunflower oleate desaturase protein. The modified sunflower oleate desaturase protein comprises at least one of the following amino acid substitutions: a) Gly to Asp at position 103; b) Ser to Leu at position 131; c) Ser to Asn at position 135; d) Gly to Glu at position 144; e) Gly to Glu at position 226; f) Pro to Ser at position 253; g) Leu to Phe at position 267; h) Pro to Ser at position 275; or is a truncated oleate desaturase.
