Abstract
La presente se refiere a un inoculante para la elaboración de hierro fundido con grafito esferoidal, en donde el inoculante comprende una aleación de ferrosilicio particulado que consiste en alrededor de 40 a 80% en peso de Si; 0,02 - 10% en peso de Ca; 0 - 15% en peso de metal de tierras raras; 0 - 5% en peso de Al; 0 - 5% en peso de Sr; 0 - 5% en peso de Mg; 0 - 12% en peso de Ba; 0 - 10% en peso de Zr; 0 - 10% en peso de Ti; 0 - 10% en peso de Mn; en donde al menos uno, o la suma, de los elementos Ba, Sr, Zr, Mn, o Ti está presente en una cantidad de al menos 0,05% en peso, en donde el balance es Fe e impurezas incidentales en cantidad habitual, en donde dicho inoculante contiene además, en peso, en función del peso total del inoculante: 0,1 a 15% en peso de Sb₂O₃ particulado, a un método para producir dicho inoculante y al uso de dicho inoculante.
