Abstract
Se revelan proteínas pesticidas que presentan actividad de toxina contra especies de plaga Lepidopteran, e incluyen, aunque sin limitación a, TIC7941, TIC7941PL_1, TIC7941PL_2, y TIC7941PL_3. Se proporcionan constructos de ADN que contienen una secuencia de ácido nucleico recombinante que codifica una o más de las proteínas pesticidas reveladas. Se proporcionan plantas transgénicas, células vegetales, semilla, y partes de plantas resistentes a infestaciones Lepidopteran que contienen secuencias de ácido nucleico recombinantes que codifican las proteínas pesticidas de la presente. También se proporcionan métodos para detectar la presencia de las secuencias de ácido nucleico recombinantes de las proteínas de la presente en una muestra biológica, y métodos para controlar plagas de especie Lepidopteran usando cualquiera de las proteínas pesticidas TIC7941, TIC7941PL_1, TIC7941PL_2, y TIC7941PL_3. También se revelan métodos y composiciones para mejorar la actividad insecticida de una proteína pesticida contra una especie de plaga de insectos. Adicionalmente se revelan métodos y composiciones para reducir expresión de una proteína pesticida en los tejidos reproductivos de una planta transgénica.
