Planta de stevia con un contenido alto de broussonetina, que comprende broussonetina en una cantidad superior a las especies de stevia salvajes. Método para producir una planta de stevia con un contenido alto de broussonetina. Hojas secas y extractos obtenibles de estas plantas. Reivindicación 15: Un método para producir un alimento, una bebida, una composición edulcorante, un saborizante o un medicamente que contiene broussonetina, caracterizado porque comprende el paso de proveer un extracto que contiene broussonetina usando un método según cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 11 a 13; el paso opcional de purificar el extracto que contiene broussonetina para proveer broussonetina; y el paso de combinar el extracto o la broussonetina con un material de partida para el alimento, la bebida, la composición edulcorante, el saborizante o el medicamento.
