Abstract
La presente descripción se refiere a la mejora en el sabor de pimientos mediante la adición de aromas de otra o la misma especie de pimiento; la descripción describe un nuevo germoplasma de Capsicum con componentes arom5ticos de Capsicum chinense y otros rasgos hortícolas de Capsicum annuum; la descripción también describe un método para mejorar el sabor de un pimiento a través de selección asistida por metabólica para producir un fruto de pimiento con aromas deseables; la descripción proporciona, además, múltiples loci de rasgo cuantitativo (QTL), marcadores asociados y su use para la reproduce& genética de plantas de pimiento con dulzura y sabor deseados.
