Abstract

Una prensa de tornillo (14) para separar el líquido de una mezcla de sólido-líquido comprende una carcasa (18) que tiene secciones de entrada y salida (24, 26), y una sección de filtro (28) entre aquellas. Las placas de filtración (36) se mantienen fijas entre sí y sujetadas en contacto cara a cara intimo y directo mediante un conjunto de sujeción (38) operable para aplicar una presión de sujeción axial predeterminada de forma sustancialmente uniforme a la altura de dicho pasaje central. Los espacios entre placas (40) están controlados por la aspereza de la superficie (R) de las placas (36) y la presión de sujeción.
