Abstract

Un método para perforar una formación subterránea que incluye proveer un fluido de emulsión invertida que comprende una fase continua oleaginosa, una fase interna que comprende agua; bentonita; e hidróxidos de metales mixtos en capas que comprenden iones hidróxido asociados con por lo menos dos cationes de metal donde uno es divalente y otro es trivalente; y perforar la formación subterránea usando el fluido de perforación. Los fluidos de perforación de emulsión invertida incluyen una fase continua oleaginosa, una fase interna que comprende agua; bentonita sódica; e hidróxidos de metales mixtos en capas que comprenden iones hidróxido asociados con por lo menos dos cationes de metal.
