Abstract
La solicitud proporciona métodos para diferenciar células endocrinas pancreáticas en células beta pancreáticas que expresen PDX1, NKX6.1, MAFA, UCN3 y SLC2A. Estas células beta pancreáticas pueden obtenerse por diferenciación escalonada de células madre pluripotentes. Las células beta pancreáticas exhiben una respiración mitocondrial dependiente de glucosa y una secreción de insulina estimulada por glucosa similar a las células de los islotes.
