Abstract

Se divulga un proceso para aumentar el contenido de sólidos de lodos acuosos y/o sedimentos, que comprende las siguientes etapas de: a) proporcionar sedimentos y/o lodos acuosos para deshidratar que comprenden impurezas; b) proporcionar al menos un material mineral tratado superficialmente, donde el material mineral antes del tratamiento superficial tiene una densidad aparente compactada medida de acuerdo con el método estándar ISO 787/11 del polvo seco de 0,05 g/ml a 0,80 g/ml y donde el material mineral se trata superficialmente por un material que proporciona una carga catiónica al material mineral, c) poner en contacto el lodo y/o el sedimento de la etapa a) con el al menos un material mineral tratado superficialmente de la etapa b) para obtener un material compuesto de material mineral tratado superficialmente e impurezas y d) retirar el agua del lodo y/o sedimento que comprende el material compuesto de la etapa c). Se divulga también el uso de un material mineral tratado superficialmente para aumentar el contenido de sólidos de lodo y/o sedimentos, y un material compuesto que comprende un material mineral tratado superficialmente y las impurezas que se pueden obtener mediante dicho proceso.
