Abstract
La invención se refiere a un método de tratamiento de corriente de efluente acuoso obtenida durante la producción de furfural. La corriente de efluente acuoso que contiene disolventes orgánicos, furfural y agua se somete a destilación azeotrópica para obtener una corriente de destilado y una corriente de efluente tratado que tiene menores valores de DBO y DQO que se pueden reducir en forma adicional por biometanización.
