Abstract

Los métodos decoloran un polímero al mezclar una solución del polímero con un fotocatalizador y al exponer la mezcla a luz ultravioleta; a modo de ejemplo no limitante, el polímero puede ser un polímero estrella y el fotocatalizador puede ser dióxido de titanio. Los métodos también utilizan un eliminador de metal, en algunas formas de realización un eliminador de metal en fase sólida, para eliminar un catalizador metálico de una solución polimérica; a modo de ejemplo no limitante, el catalizador metálico puede ser un catalizador metálico. Los métodos de decoloración y los métodos de eliminación de catalizador pueden practicarse por separado, consecutivamente en cualquier orden, o simultáneamente.
