Abstract
La presente se refiere al uso de una proteína tolerante a los herbicidas, donde el método para controlar las malezas comprende aplicar un herbicida que contiene una dosis eficaz de tribenuron metil a un ambiente de crecimiento de las plantas donde está presente al menos una planta transgénica, donde la planta transgénica comprende una secuencia de nucleótidos que codifica una tifensulfuron hidrolasa en su genoma, y comparada con otras plantas sin la secuencia de nucleótidos que codifica la tifensulfuron hidrolasa, la planta transgénica sufre un menor daño y/o tiene un mayor rendimiento. La presente divulga que una tifensulfuron hidrolasa puede exhibir alta tolerancia a un herbicida de tribenuron metil, que las plantas que contienen una secuencia de nucleótidos que codifica la tifensulfuron hidrolasa son fuertemente tolerantes a un herbicida de tribenuron metil y puede tolerar al menos una concentración 1x en el campo, por lo tanto, la hidrolasa tiene amplias perspectivas de aplicación en las plantas.
