La presente revela una secuencia de ácido nucleico derivada de Nicotiana megalosiphon que codifica para una proteína antipatogénica. Contempla el uso de esta molécula de ácido nucleico en la obtención de plantas transgénicas de interés agrícola que muestran resistencia a patógenos. También incluye un bioproducto, que comprenda esta proteína antipatogénica, para el control de agentes patógenos de plantas.
