Abstract

Juntas de obturación aplicables a tuberías, válvulas y equipos de calderería. En este contexto, se provee una junta de obturación para sistemas de tubería, la cual comprende (i) un núcleo (10) formado por una pluralidad de anillos metálicos concéntricos (10a), comprendiendo cada anillo (10a) una sección transversal sustancialmente rectangular, en donde la dimensión de la altura de la sección transversal rectangular es común a todos los anillos (10a), y (ii) un revestimiento superficial (12) de material flexible aplicado sobre las superficies inferior y superior del núcleo (10). También se provee un procedimiento de fabricación de la referida junta de obturación. Así, provee una junta de obturación (i) que prescinde de la necesidad de un anillo rígido externo, (ii) y que es de fácil conformación para juntas de diámetro reducido y (iii) que puede ser fácilmente conformada en diferentes formatos, tal como el formato oval, particularmente útil para la obturación entre el cuerpo de válvula y la parte superior de válvula de corredera.
