Abstract

La presente invención es para juntas de sellado aplicables a tubos, válvulas y equipo de caldera. En este contexto, la presente invención proporciona una junta de sellado para sistemas de tubería que comprende (i) un núcleo (10) formado por una pluralidad de anillos de metal concéntricos (10a) comprendiendo cada anillo (10a) una sección trasversal sustancialmente rectangular, donde la altura de la sección trasversal rectangular es la misma para todos los anillos (10a) y (ii) recubrimiento de superficie (12) de material flexible aplicado a la superficie superior e inferior del núcleo (10). La presente invención también proporciona el proceso de fabricación de la junta de sellado. De este modo, la presente invención proporciona una junta de sellado (i) que elimina la necesidad de un anillo rígido externo, (ii) que es fácil de conformar a las jutas de sellado de diámetro reducido y (iii) puede ser formada fácilmente en diferentes formas, como una forma ovalada, la cual es particularmente útil para sellar entre el cuerpo y la tapa de la válvula de compuerta.
