Abstract
Método para obtener una mezcla para producir H₂, donde dicha mezcla comprende un borohidruro de un metal, Me(BH₄)ₙ, un hidróxido de un metal, Me(OH)ₙ y H₂O, en donde Me es un metal y n es la valencia del ión metálico. El H₂O se suministra como agua ultrapura, UPW, y el UPW tiene una conductancia eléctrica menor que 1 mS/cm. El método comprende disolver el borohidruro de metal y el hidróxido de metal en UPW para obtener la mezcla para producir H₂ que comprende una cantidad de grupos borohidruro, BH₄, del borohidruro de metal en el rango de entre 45 y 55% molar de la mezcla, una cantidad de grupos hidróxido, OH, del hidróxido de metal en el rango de entre 2 y 5% molar de la mezcla, y al menos sustancialmente UPW para completar la mezcla.
