Abstract
Se provee un método para mejorar la tolerancia al estrés abiótico de una planta. El método comprende modificar genéticamente la planta para que exprese miARN167 como respuesta a condiciones de estrés abiótico, donde el nivel de expresión de miR167, en condiciones de estrés abiótico, se selecciona para que no exceda las 10 veces comparado con el mismo nivel en la planta desarrollada en condiciones óptimas, mejorando así la tolerancia al estrés abiótico de la planta.
