Abstract
Un método para mejorar, en plantas, varios rasgos relacionados con el rendimiento de importancia económica. Más específicamente, un método para mejorar rasgos relacionados con el rendimiento en plantas mediante la modulación de la expresión en una planta de un ácido nucleico que codifica un polipéptido tipo UPA20 o un polipéptido tipo WAK. También se refiere a plantas que tienen expresión modulada de un ácido nucleico que codifica un polipéptido tipo UPA20 o un polipéptido tipo WAK, en donde dichas plantas tienen rasgos relacionados con el rendimiento, con respecto a las plantas de control: También provee ácidos nucleicos que codifican tipo UPA20 o ácidos nucleicos que codifican tipo WAK, y constructos que los comprenden desconocidos hasta el momento, útiles en la realización de los métodos de la solicitud. En una forma de realización alternativa, un método para mejorar el rendimiento en plantas mediante la introducción y expresión en la planta de una molécula de ácido nucleico que codifica un polipéptido CDKB-RKA que presenta menor actividad de quinasa catalítica y preferentemente que carece de tal actividad. También plantas que muestran mayor rendimiento con respecto a las plantas de control y comprende un polipéptido CDKB-RKA. También provee constructos que comprenden un polipéptido CDK tipo B que presenta menor actividad de quinasa catalítica y preferentemente que carece de tal actividad, que son útiles para llevar a cabo los métodos de la solicitud.
