Abstract
Se describe una Plataforma de Integración del Transgen realizado por Ingeniería (ETIP) que se puede insertar al azar, o en ubicaciones específicas en el genoma de las plantas para facilitar la rápida selección y detección de un GOI que está perfectamente dirigido (ambos extremos 3 y 5) en la localización ETIP genómica. Un elemento es la introducción de roturas de doble cadena específicas dentro de la ETIP. En algunas formas de realización, se describe una ETIP que utiliza sitios de unión de nucleasa de dedo de zinc, pero puede utilizar otras tecnologías de segmentación tales como meganucleasas, TALS, CRISPRs, o cremalleras de leucina. También se describen composiciones de, y métodos para producir, las plantas transgénicas en las que el donante o el ADN de carga útil expresa uno o más productos de una secuencia de ácido nucleico exógena (por ejemplo, proteína o ARN) que ha sido de manera estable integrada en una ETIP en una célula de la planta.
