Abstract
La presente se refiere a un método para la preparación de ácido 2,4-dihidroxibutírico a partir de homoserina, que comprende una primera etapa de conversión del grupo amino primario de homoserina en un grupo carbonilo para obtener 2-oxo-4-hidroxibutirato y una segunda etapa de reducción del 2-oxo-4-hidroxibutirato (OHB) obtenido a 2,4-dihidroxibutirato. Reivindicación 3: El método de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1 ó 2, caracterizado porque la primera etapa es catalizada por una enzima que tiene actividad de homoserina transaminasa, homoserina deshidrogenasa u homoserina oxidasa, respectivamente. Reivindicación 19: Un método de producción de 2,4-DHB que comprende las etapas de: cultivar el microorganismo modificado de acuerdo con cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 11 a 18 en un medio de cultivo apropiado, recuperar 2,4-DHB del medio de cultivo. Reivindicación 22: Uso de cualquiera de las enzimas que tiene actividad de (L)-lactato deshidrogenasa, (L)-malato deshidrogenasa o 2-hidroxiácido deshidrogenasa para transformar el OHB en 2,4-DHB.
