Abstract
Una membrana electrolítica de un ionómero. Un catalizador de reducción usado para el electrodo de reducción contiene al menos uno de Pt y Pd. Un electrodo que produce oxígeno contiene catalizadores de óxidos de metal noble tales como RuO₂, IrO₂, y similares. Una unidad de medición de la tasa de generación de gas hidrógeno mide una tasa de un gas hidrógeno haciendo circular a través de una tubería un compuesto hidrocarbonado aromático o un compuesto aromático heterocíclico con contenido de nitrógeno y, en base a esta tasa, se calcula una generación de gas hidrógeno F1. Una unidad de control aumenta gradualmente un voltaje entre el electrodo de reducción y el electrodo que produce oxígeno dentro de un intervalo que satisface una relación de F1 £ F0 y VCA > VHER - 20 mV diferencia de potencial aceptable, cuando el potencial redox estándar del compuesto hidrocarbonado aromático o el compuesto aromático heterocíclico con contenido de nitrógeno es VTRR, el potencial del electrodo de reducción es VCA y el límite superior aceptable de la tasa de generación de gas hidrógeno es F0.
