Abstract
Se proporcionan en el presente documento el ácido 4-amino-6-(halo-alquil-sustituido) picolínico y sus derivados, las composiciones que contienen los ácidos y sus derivados, y los métodos para utilizar los mismos como herbicidas. Reivindicación 1: Un compuesto de la fórmula (1) en el que R¹ es C₁₋₄ alquilo o C₁₋₄ alquenilo que está opcionalmente substituido con uno o más átomos de halógeno, con la condición que R¹ no sea 1,1-difluoroetilo o trifluorometilo; R² es H, Cl o F; R³ es halógeno; R⁴ es H, C₁₋₄ alquilo o alquilarilo; W es -N₃, -NR⁵R⁶, -NHOH,-NHCOR⁶ o -N=CR⁷R⁸; donde R⁵ representa H o C₁₋₄ alquilo; R⁶ representa H, C₁₋₄ alquilo o C₁₋₄ alcoxi; R⁵ y R⁶ tomadas juntas con N representan un anillo saturado o no saturado de 5- ó 6- miembros los cuales pueden contener heteroátomos O, S o N adicionales; R⁷ representa H o C₁₋₄ alquilo; R⁸ representa C₁₋₄ alcoxi o C₁₋₄ alquilamina; o un óxido-N o una sal agrícolamente aceptable del mismo.
