Abstract

En los aparatos anteriormente conocidos que utilizan CO o gas de síntesis, donde un flujo de partículas caliente se suministra a un convertidor en forma de un aerosol, puede ocurrir una conversión química incompleta en el convertidor. Además, pueden producirse pérdidas de calor, lo que compromete la eficiencia, y se pueden depositar partículas, lo que da lugar a interrupciones durante el funcionamiento. Estos problemas se resuelven por medio de un convertidor de C que comprende por lo menos una entrada del convertidor en aerosol para un aerosol que comprende un primer gas y partículas que contienen carbono; por lo menos una entrada de gas del convertidor para un segundo gas; por lo menos dos salidas de la cámara del convertidor y por lo menos dos cámaras del convertidor que están adaptadas para llenarse con partículas de entre un grado de llenado de las partículas máximo y uno mínimo. El convertidor de C comprende además por lo menos un dispositivo de desvío que está adaptado para conectar de forma selectiva una fracción de las cámaras del convertidor a) a por lo menos una de las entradas del convertidor en aerosol para el aerosol o b) a por lo menos una de las entradas de gas del convertidor para el segundo gas o puede desconectar las cámaras del convertidor de los mismos; y por lo menos un dispositivo de descarga que está adaptado para conectar en forma selectiva una fracción de las cámaras del convertidor a por lo menos una de las salidas del convertidor o para desconectar las cámaras del convertidor del mismo. Los aerosoles que contienen partículas pueden ser convertidos por medio del convertidor de C sin interrupción, y se obtiene un alto grado de conversión de los materiales suministrados en el convertidor. Además, se desvela un aparato para la producción de CO o gas de síntesis, en el que se puede utilizar el convertidor de C. También se desvelan procedimientos para el funcionamiento del convertidor de C y el aparato para la producción de CO o gas de síntesis.
