Abstract
Se describe un tensor que puede ser parte de un sistema de fuerza motriz, en donde el tensor provee tensión a un elemento de transmisión sinfín tal como una correa, cadena, u otro lazo continuo. El tensor presenta un brazo que puede ser girado alrededor de un primer eje e incluye un muñón de brazo que tiene una ventana a través de éste, un buje que tiene un resalte y está posicionado en forma adyacente al muñón de brazo con el resalte alojado en la ventana del muñón de brazo, y un resorte acoplado al brazo que urge al brazo a girar alrededor del primer eje en acoplamiento de tensado con un elemento de transmisión. El resorte está posicionado donde el mismo pueda expandir radialmente en contacto con el resalte del buje a medida que el brazo es girado en una dirección opuesta a la dirección de acoplamiento de tensado de manera que el buje sea urgido radialmente hacia afuera con respecto al muñón de brazo para proveer amortiguación por fricción.
