Abstract
Composiciones, organismos, sistemas y métodos para expresar un producto genético en una planta usando una secuencia de control de la expresion (ECS) funcional en monocotiledoneas y/o dicotiledoneas. Por ejemplo, (i) un ácido nucleico aislado puede comprender una ECS (por ejemplo, un promotor virus baciliforme de la cana de azucar) y, opcionalmente, un ácido nucleico exogeno (ExNA) ligado operativamente a la ECS; (u) un vector de expresion puede comprender una ECS; un ExNA; y, opcionalmente, una secuencia de terminacion 3 , en donde la ECS tiene suficiente actividad promotora como para expresar el ExNA en al menos una monocotiledonea y al menos una dicotiledonea; (iii) un microorganismo, célula vegetal o planta puede comprender un ácido nucleico aislado; (iv) un método para expresar constitutivamente un ExNA en una planta (por ejemplo, una monocotiledonea y/o una dicotiledonea) que puede comprender el contacto de un vector de expresion con el citosol de una célula de la planta, en donde dicho vector de expresion comprende al ExNA y una ECS funcional para dirigir la expresion del ExNA; y/o (y) un método para dirigir la expresion constitutiva de un ácido nucleico en una planta (por ejemplo, una monocotiledonea y/o una dicotiledonea) que puede comprender transformar la planta con un ácido nucleico de expresion que comprende una ECS, un ExNA y una secuencia de terminacion 3'.
