Abstract
Un método para detectar un derivado de clorofila libre de fitol en una muestra, que comprende un paso de detectar una senal fluorescente asociada al derivado de clorofila libre de fitol, donde se extingue una senal de fluorescencia asociada a la clorofila o a un derivado de clorofila que contiene fitol que está presente en la muestra. El método se puede utilizar para cuantificar en una muestra la actividad de las enzimas clorofilasas y otras enzimas relacionadas sin fraccionamiento con solventes entre sustrato y producto.
