Abstract

Se relaciona con el control de infestaciones de plagas mediante el uso de biotecnología. Se describen métodos y composiciones que pueden usarse para reducir el estrés biotico en las plantas, que comprenden introducir moléculas de ADN recombinantes en las células de una planta para obtener la reduccion en las infestaciones de nematodos, de insectos y de otras plagas. También se divulgan métodos para crear plantas transgénicas donde se expresan las moléculas de ADN recombinantes, que pueden usarse para proteger dichas plantas de infestaciones de plagas. Se provee además una célula vegetal modificada, una planta o parte de la misma, un producto procesado seleccionado del grupo que consiste en harina, aceite, paja, almidon extracto de proteína y fibras
