Abstract

Un método para convertir alcanos gaseosos de menor peso molecular contenidos en un gas de alimentación a hidrocarburos líquidos de mayor peso molecular. Uno o más alcanos de menor peso molecular contenidos en el gas de alimentación, que son más pesados que el metano, son convertidos a metano en un reactor de formación previa. El gas enriquecido de metano resultante tiene una fracción de metano mayor que la fracción de metano del gas de alimentación. El gas enriquecido de metano y el bromo reaccionan para formar bromuro de alquilo y el bromuro de alquilo reacciona en presencia de un catalizador para formar los hidrocarburos líquidos de mayor peso molecular y un gas residual. Los hidrocarburos líquidos de mayor peso molecular se recuperan como producto y el gas residual se provee al reactor de formación previa con el gas de alimentación.
