En la presente se dan a conocer métodos y una disposición para la separación de nanotubos de carbono de una corriente de agua. La disposición incluye un recipiente de purificación, donde el recipiente de purificación está configurado para formar un óxido de carbono a partir de los nanotubos de carbono contenidos en la corriente de agua.
