Abstract

La presente solicitud proporciona un método para controlar la potencia óptica, método que incluye: monitorear la potencia óptica de salida de una fuente óptica, y evaluar si se recibe una señal de control de prueba predeterminada; cuando la señal de control de prueba predeterminada no se recibe, modular una señal de datos para enviar luz de la fuente óptica, y regular una corriente de polarización de la fuente óptica de acuerdo con un resultado de monitoreo de potencia óptica de salida de la fuente óptica a fin de implementar el control automático de potencia; y cuando se recibe la señal de control de prueba predeterminada, iniciar una prueba y superponer una señal de prueba a la señal de datos para formar una señal superpuesta y modular la señal superpuesta a la luz de salida de la fuente óptica, el resultado de monitoreo de la potencia óptica de salida de la fuente óptica se ignora durante el período de prueba para mantener la corriente de polarización de la fuente óptica en un valor de objetivo predeterminado. La presente solicitud proporciona además un aparato para controlar la potencia óptica.
