Abstract
La presente se relaciona con macroiniciadores que comprenden por lo menos un segmento hidrófobo en una molécula, en donde el peso molecular de un segmento hidrófobo es 300 a 1800. La presente se relaciona, además, a copolímeros de bloque, agente humectante y materiales poliméricos que están asociados con los copolímeros de bloque de la presente, que son adecuados para dispositivos médicos, particularmente para dispositivos oftálmicos, que incluyen lentes de contacto, lentes oftálmicos, tapones lagrimales y córneas artificiales.
