Abstract

Un sistema y método para realizar el seguimiento de un vehículo que incluye un dispositivo de seguimiento móvil que recibe datos del GPS. El dispositivo de seguimiento del vehículo transmite los datos de ubicación a un sistema de seguimiento en donde el mismo detecta ciertos eventos en base a los datos, tal como cuando el vehículo hace una parada, reanuda el movimiento, cambia la dirección o excede el límite de velocidad. El sistema de seguimiento puede asociar los datos recibidos en la ubicación del vehículo con las llamadas de servicio y generar automáticamente una factura precisa que refleje la distancia recorrida hasta el momento de la llamada de servicio y la duración de la parada.
