Abstract
Se pueden usar métodos de posicionamiento basados en GPS y A-GPS para determinar las localizaciones de UE a fin de posibilitar que se presten los servicios basados en localizacion. Sin embargo, si un UE no tiene tales receptores o la red inalámbrica no puede proporcionar asistencia, esos métodos no serán aplicables. Una alternativa es usar las mediciones de OTDOA que emplean las senales de referencia de posicionamiento transmitidas por las celdas de la red. Optimizando el conjunto de celdas que transmiten sus senales de referencia de posicionamiento en las diferentes ocasiones de posicionamiento y configurando correctamente los patrones de silenciamiento, puede minimizarse la interferencia y determinarse de inmediato la localizacion de UE.
