Abstract

Un proceso para elaborar una composicion biodegradable, donde dicho proceso incluye formar un compuesto que incluye por lo menos (a) almidon termoplástico (TPS), (b) un polímero de éster de vinilo y (c) uno o más plastificante(s) para el componente (b), donde dicho(s) uno o más plastificante(s) (c) y opcionalmente parte del polímero de éster de vinilo (b) se introduce(n) solo cuando todo dicho almidon termoplástico o la mayor parte del mismo se ha desestructurado desde el almidon granular/nativo. Preferiblemente, como plastificante (c) se utiliza diacetina, y se la introduce solo luego de desestructurar el almidon.
